Questions families ask
No, and that is deliberate. Encall arranges companionship and practical help only. Personal care and anything clinical belong with regulated providers, and our Helpers are trained to say so and to help you find one when the need goes beyond company and practical help.
Local, self-employed people who pass six checks before a first visit: identity with a live selfie match, a DBS check, right to work, confirmed references, verified insurance, and training. Every check is shown on their profile with its date, and you choose the Helper yourself.
Helpers set their own rates, and the price you see is the whole price. You always see the full amount before you book, and there are no subscriptions and no minimum weeks.
You pay when you book, the money is held by a regulated payment provider, and it moves to the Helper only when you confirm the visit happened. If the Helper cannot accept, every penny returns to your card automatically.
First visits begin in south east London in autumn 2026, then nearby areas. Register with your postcode and we will write the moment Encall reaches you, and never more than once a month before that.
Register as a Helper and we will send the joining steps when your area opens. You set your own rate, choose your own hours, and are paid the moment a visit is confirmed.
