This policy explains how the Encall website at encall.org uses cookies and similar storage in your browser. It covers this website only. When the Encall app and booking service launch, the cookies they use will be listed here before they are set.
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar space browsers give a website to remember small pieces of information between visits. Both let a site work properly and remember your choices. Neither lets us see anything else on your device.
Encall is at an early stage, so the site uses the least it can. Right now that is strictly necessary storage only:
That is all. The Encall website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, social media cookies, or any third-party tracking. Nothing on this site follows you to other websites.
When you register. If you leave your postcode and email to join the waiting list, that information is sent to us to write to you when Encall reaches your area. It is not read from a cookie. The notice explaining how we handle the details you give us will be published on this site before Encall launches.
When booking and payments go live, the service will need a small number of essential cookies, for example to keep you signed in and to take payments securely through our payment provider. Any cookie set at that point will be strictly necessary for the service to work, and this policy will be updated to name each one before it is used.
You can accept the notice, or ignore it and carry on. You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings, and every current browser has a help page explaining how. Blocking the necessary storage may mean the site stops remembering that you have seen this notice.
